چکیده

Aspects of semantic interpretation, such as quan-tiier scoping and reference resolution, are often realised computationally by non-monotonic operations involving loss of information and destructive manipulation of semantic representations. The paper describes how monotonic reference resolution and scoping can be carried out using a revised Quasi Logical Form (QLF) representation. Semantics for QLF are presented in which the de-notations of formulas are extended monotonically as QLF expressions are resolved.

Memory and Time Consumption of Java Bytecode Programs

Interpretation has been proposed by P. Cousot and R. Cousot in [6]. The main idea is to “execute” the program on abstract values instead of concrete ones. 1.1 Theoretical basis 1.1.1 Semantic of programs The purpose of abstract interpretation is to approximate the semantics of a program, we therefore need to defined semantics. In abstract interpretation, the semantics considered are fixpoint-ba...

Coping with vague and fuzzy words : a Multi-Expert Natural Language System which overcomes ambiguities

the system we present in this contribution is a sub-part of an extensive natural language processing architecture. It is devoted to a particular phenomenon in natural language : the polysemy of words, which produces effects such as vagueness and fuzziness and impedes the normal automatized processing of sentences. We try to show in this paper how our architecture, currently running on a network...

Fixpoint semantics for active integrity constraints

Active integrity constraints (AICs) constitute a formalism to associate with a database not just the constraints it should adhere to, but also how to fix the database in case one or more of these constraints are violated. The intuitions regarding which repairs are “good” given such a description are closely related to intuitions that live in various areas of non-monotonic reasoning, such as log...

Analysis of disassembled executable codes by abstract interpretation

The aim of this paper is to dene the abstract domain, abstract operator, abstract semantic, the environments and states of disassembled executable codes as well as a way to analysis the disassembled executable codes. Nowadays, static analysis on disassembled code going to grow. Reverse engineering and malware analysis use this technique. Thus, we tried to perform pluralization the requirements ...

Non-monotonic reasoning in interpretation

The original article of Thomason pursues two goals: first to outline the central logical issues of non-monotonic reasoning, and second to indicate possible applications of nonmonotonic reasoning techniques in linguistics. This appendix will follow up on Thomason’s second goal and show that linguists have taken up his invitation to use nonmonotonic logic as a formal tool. Particularly in the new...
